“Each person has done something to threaten Peace, Order and Good Government. In a series of spoken dialogues and sung arias, we discover who they are and what the charges are.” — Toronto Star
This November 2018, composer Kevin Lau digs deeper into Handel’s music—infusing new sounds and ideas into the backbone of Handel’s works. In the wake of the world’s refugee crisis, this workshop continues to explore the current state of those displaced, dehumanized and mistreated, with texts and stories drawn from real-life news articles and world events. #AtGBound is in its second workshop of a three-year “concept to realization” production. This year’s concert performance will feature a quartet of singers, chamber orchestra, and digital sound design by Acote.
Tickets go on sale 10am on September 27, 2018.
