Why is La Bohème one of the most beloved operas of all time? Is it the music, the heartbreaking love story, or the unforgettable characters? Dawn Martens will explore why Puccini’s masterpiece continues to enthrall audiences over a century after its premier. Using video clips and images, she will take you through the history of the opera, linking it to popular culture today. Dawn is an award-winning teacher with the Hamilton Wentworth District School board and a recipient of a Ruby Award for opera education from Opera Canada.
