Handel’s first big hit for the London stage, Rinaldo contains some of his most ravishing music and is an exotic story of war, religion, love, and sorcery. As a Christian army prepares to lay siege to Jerusalem during the First Crusade, politics, passion, and magic complicate matters. Glynis Leyshon will direct this masterpiece of Baroque opera.
