SUMMARY:<em>BRAVA: A Cabaret of Devotions</em> Various <br /> Toronto Fringe Festival <br />
DESCRIPTION:From Toronto Fringe ( https://fringetoronto.com )‘s website:\n\n\n\nBRAVA: A Cabaret of Devotions — Opera Singer Turns to Diva Anthems for an Intimate Fringe Debut\nWhat remains when a song ends? BRAVA: A Cabaret of Devotions invites audiences into an intimate solo performance at Soulpepper Theatre’s Kevin & Roger Garland Cabaret. Performer, writer, and professional opera singer Yanik Gosselin blends personal storytelling with songs made famous by legendary divas. With wit, vulnerability, and commanding vocals, this Fringe debut explores the memory of formidable women, both famous and unsung, who inspired him to sing and dream.\nBRAVA grew from Yanik’s ambition to expand his artistic palette beyond opera and explore a more personal style of storytelling. Inspired by Peter Allen’s “Quiet Please, There’s a Lady On Stage,” the piece draws on Yanik’s memories of artists such as Liza Minnelli, Bette Midler, and Céline Dion, alongside two beloved aunts who first introduced him to the movie Grease. The result is a tribute to resilience and music’s ability to hold memories.\nHailed by Opera Canada as “a pleasure to watch and listen to,” Yanik brings vocal precision and ease to the cabaret stage. Music direction and piano are by Benjamin Kersey, a two-time Dora Mavor Moore Award nominee, and lighting design is by Mabel Wonnacott. Presented by My Fair Divas, a production company founded by Yanik Gosselin, the show marks a new chapter for this storytelling artist.\nBlending humour, heart, and unforgettable music, BRAVA is a love letter to the voices that shape us, and a celebration of the memories that  our favourite songs can hold.\nBRAVA: A Cabaret of Devotions\nMy Fair Divas\npresented as part of the 2026 Toronto Fringe Festival\nwritten and performed by Yanik Gosselin\nmusic direction by Benjamin Kersey\nlighting design by Mabel Wonnacott\nDates/Times:\nJuly 2 – 8:15 PM\nJuly 3 – 3:15 PM\nJuly 4 – 5:00 PM\nJuly 6 – 1:00 PM\nJuly 7 – 4:45 PM\nJuly 9 – 6:30 PM\nJuly 10 – 10:15 PM\nJuly 12 – 2:00 PM\nVenue: Soulpepper Theatre’s Kevin & Roger Garland Cabaret (50 Tank House Lane)\n\n\n\n
