A conversation via Zoom with Jon Fredric West. A notable heldentenor who sang many Wagner roles throughout his career, he is currently a vocal coach working with young singers – including a TWS favourite, Clay Hilley. 
 
Mr. West’s operatic career spanned from the 1970s to the 2010s. During this time, he established himself as one of the preeminent interpreters of Siegfried, Tristan and Tannhäuser. He currently runs the Jon Fredric
West Vocal Institute. He has taught voice for over 35 years and delivers Master Classes all over the world. His students have received scholarships at many of the top operatic schools, though he is perhaps best known for his work with Clay Hilley since 2015.
