BrottOpera offers young artists virtual training in 2020

This summer’s Brott Music Festival won’t feature any live concerts or operas, but they’re staying on schedule with the training of their young artists. Alongside the virtual masterclasses and seminars offered to the musicians of the National Academy Orchestra, the singers of this summer’s BrottOpera are ready to move online.

In 2020, BrottOpera will continue its plans to offer its emerging artists high-level professional training. Their virtual line-up includes sessions in stage movement, dance, fight choreography, Italian language, and business and career advice. The singers will also participate in masterclasses with Canadian opera staples Adrianne Pieczonka (July 3, 12pm ET) and John Fanning (July 10, 12pm ET), both of which will be available for free public streaming via the Brott Music Festival’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Viewers can also catch two BrottOpera performances: a PopOpera concert on July 16, 7:30pm ET, and an abridged version of Don Giovanni, July 30, 7:30pm ET. Both are also available via Facebook and YouTube.
