Detroit Opera Announces New Singers for Resident Artist Program for 2022-23

After an international search, Detroit Opera has announced five new singers who will train in their Resident Artist Program for 2022-23; including Canadian soprano Elizabeth Polese, recent graduate of l’Atelier Lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal and a fellow at Tanglewood Music Centre. Detroit Opera’s redesigned program provides a comprehensive career development to emerging singers who have demonstrated potential to make important contributions to the art form. Melanie Spector, soprano
Elizabeth Polese, soprano
Gabrielle Barkidjija, mezzo-soprano
Leo Williams, tenor
Ben Reisinger, baritone
