About Opera Pub
AtG’s Opera Pubs are improvised, wild nights that offer up your favourite operatic arias and ensembles, performed by both established and emerging opera talent. Opera Pubs are the perfect introduction for newbies and a welcome break for opera vets who want to see something “a little different.” What’s more fun than opera and a beer with friends?
Opera Pub is headed back out west!
Opera Pub was born in Banff Legion bar in Alberta and soon after transported to Toronto, which has been the headquarters of Opera Pub over the last few years. Between astounding the Amsterdam Bicycle Club, tearin’ up Tranzac Club, and now at The Drake Hotel, it’s safe to say we’re here to stay in the glorious GTA.
With that being said, Opera Pub is too much party for just one city, and we are thrilled that we’ve had Opera Pubs in Vancouver and Edmonton (in collaboration with Edmonton Opera)!
Angela Bell is Opera Canada’s Digital Media Specialist. She has held digital and PR roles with various businesses including the Walt Disney Company, Sullivan Entertainment and Toronto International Film Festival.
