From the Vault: full-length, streamed COC productions

by | May 25, 2020 | Featured, News

After a good amount of anticipation, the Canadian Opera Company has announced their new series of full-length productions, From the Vault. Each Thursday the COC releases an item from its archives, beginning with Tim Albery’s 2017 staging of Arabella.

“Nothing can replace the energy of live performance,” says COC General Director Alexander Neef. “Rather than attempting to reproduce that experience, we wanted to offer something different: the rare opportunity to see our operas from a completely unique perspective – that of our production teams.”

Arabella, starring Erin Wall in the title role and Jane Archibald as Zdenka, is available for streaming now through May 27. Check back weekly with From the Vault, and sign up for email alerts when a new production is out.
