Philippe Sly & Jana Miller to headline webcast recital at Bourgie Hall

If you can’t snag in-person tickets to the two indoor concerts, given at Bourgie Hall on May 29 and 30 by bass-baritone Philippe Sly, soprano Jana Miller, and pianist Jean Marchand, don’t fret.

The all-Robert Schumann programme is set to be webcast from June 5-19, for a ticket price of just $20. Alongside Marchand’s performance of Schumann’s delicate Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood), Op. 15, Miller will present the yearning Frauenliebe und -leben (A Woman’s Love and Life), Op. 42, and Sly sings the tempestuous Dichterliebe (A Poet’s Love), Op. 48.

The concert, presented by Bourgie Hall, is an excellent chance to see two of Canada’s opera singers on the recital stage – and with the help of a webcast, up close. The stream becomes available on June 5 at 2:30pmET, and remains available online through June 19 at 11pmET. Tickets and full details are available here.
