Dress Code: Celebratory Chic!

2025 Honourees

Jane Archibald, Soprano

“I don’t really obsess about technique. I just try to keep my voice relaxed — round, with a shimmer on it.” Opera Canada, fall 2001

Larry Desrochers, Chief Executive Officer

“You exist because of the work on the stage — that’s why people come. If you reduce the quality of your work, you’re only going to hurt yourself in the long run.” Opera Canada, spring 2009

Teiya Kasahara 笠原貞野, Change Maker

“I felt that being a singer, I wasn’t given the platform to say what I needed to say about opera, about the characters I was playing, about what I felt was not right in opera.” Opera Canada, spring 2019

Chantal Lambert, Studio Program Director

“What we can offer is a collegial system rather than a professor-student relationship, a support structure to enable them to reach their full potential.” Opera Canada, December-January 2008-09
