Box Concerts: Tapestry Opera’s latest great idea

by | Jul 15, 2020 | Featured, News

Tapestry Opera has unveiled its latest innovation: Box Concerts! Through October 1, Canada’s leaders in new opera are delivering curbside concerts throughout Toronto, performed live from Tapestry’s custom-made “box stage”. The concerts will be free for communities, front-line workers, and care homes, and feature the real-life faces (and voices) of leading Canadian talent.

There are also ticketed options, where Torontonians can book a concert to come to their neighbourhood, or donate a performance to a worthy community or health care facility. Audiences can enjoy the concerts from a safe distance – like the distance between porch and sidewalk – and get their much-needed fix of truly live music.

The first of these bookable concerts is a choice between Classical Musical Theatre & Opera and Classical Cello. Private performances cost $150 each.
